Learn to fight

Day One.

Day one of this blog anyway.  Life at the Ranch is lived in moments.  Days are defined by the good old sun rising and setting however, there's no real name necessary in some cases.  Monday? Tuesday?  It don't matter.  Sure, I notice the end of the month but the reality is I'm here to live the ranch life one moment at a time.  Breathe.

This morning already was a day.  There was misunderstandings, tardiness and some conflict.  Bread and butter for us.  Growing requires friction, interaction, evaluation and some thinking.  Emotions and feelings are part of the equation and I do spend a bit of time on that.  Breathe.

As Lisa and I were discussing a bit ago, emotion and feelings are a necessity to know today.  The thought is that in this new environment where everyone's opinions count, social media tells the story and we might be accosted by a stranger for not using proper road etiquette leads to a survivalist initiative:  Learn about feelings or pay the consequences.

Avoiding feelings is not an option.  Probably never was.  The thought is that at one point, is not that feelings were not important.  They were.  They just wasn't used as cheap currency as they are now.  Our society is using feelings to pay for everything and so, as smart humans, we better learn what that means in order to thrive in this jungle.

This is another way to learn how to fight.  Really.  Since the moment you are born, you are in for the fight for your life.  End of story.  So, get good at it.  Learning about feelings is one aspect of it.  It will guide where and how you do what you do.

Start with yourself.  Ask simple questions.  Why am I upset?  Is it a common occurrence? Could I do something different?

Once you question yourself. Don't stop.  It don't mean, you're in doubt.  It means you are learning about who you are.  If you think you know who you are then, you should be able to answer honestly.  You will not.  You will make excuses.  Learn to fight or get punch in the nuts, up to you.  Ladies, you're not exempt from the punch.  Probably worse for you as you tend to be more in tune with those feelers and emoblowtions.  Ya, I made that up. #emoblowtions

Lesson One on how to live on a Ranch:  Learn how to fight.  Get in the ring.  Be prepare to live in your jungle.

1. Ask yourself questions.  Start simple, Genius.

2. Feelings.  Explore them.

3.  Apply what you learn and be willing to fuck up.  Always.  You'll learn faster.  You know it is true as humiliating as it might had been in your head.

That's it for today.  That's all I can do.  I'm happy I'm on my way.  Right.  What does this have to do with Ranch Life.  Everything.  You fail on this, you will pay dearly.  You know so.
